I saw a video interview with the secondary director, and he went on and on about the finality of Gambit's death and how it was important to send a message and establish a tone etc etc, and imho, I feel like the lady doth protest too much.


I think the writers spent a LOT of time on this show, and a lot of things were very subtly handled to pay off later, and if we look at those, it's clear Gambit will be back. Like purplevit said, episode 1 has Rogue and Gambit talking at a club with changing lights about dancing, and how she can't (due to touch), and Gambit saying any man would be happy to be with her, and he holds her hand. No skin touch, but, still, the next time we see a similar scene, with the lighting, and music, is Magneto and Rogue dancing. her now confidently and willingly doing what she couldn't with Gambit, and their hands touch. She seemingly chose him, but, didn't ultimately, but Gambit doesn't know this. Xavier when he see's a dead Gambit says, "No! They were dancing, drinking wine, making love!" We've never seen this scene. I think this is another subtle foreshadow, and dots that will be connected to great payoff. But also, Jesus, even though we KNOW MAgneto survived Genosha, thre's no way they killed off Banshee, Emma Frost, Sebastian Shaw, etc etc as well. And they all died before Gambit. So if we "undo" their deaths, they proceed Remy's.

Rogue’s VA said they worked together last year. Last year was second season.

When Xavier senses all the deaths, and see's gambit, Gambit becomes a skeleton/symbolizes death. And then his roar blows Xavier away/kills him. That's very "on the nose". Many have argued Magneto isn't really dead because otherwise it'd be him Xavier saw, not Remy. What I noticed, which was subtle, and I think only Gambit fans would notice, was when the globe began spinning faster and faster and was then consumed, it was consumed in Remy's powers. To me, that's a nod to New Sun.

I agree with Toadman. No matter what happened to Gambit he handled it and looked good in the end. Not only about action but also about love triangle. He was calm and competent. Writer definetely is a fan. Also both directors told that they like Gambit.
They made viewer like Gambit on purpose so we all would be sad when hi dies like a hero.
Even haters liked Gambit after ep5.


I still think that everything will be worse and worse for X-Men with every episode and most of cast will die till.the end of ep9. So in ep 10 Forge will fix Cable's tech and Xavier will send mind message to X-Men in past.


So Gambit and X-Men or even all mutants in past will Remember everything from future (and Gambit's sacrifice) and unite before attack on Genosha. Everything ends on a huge fight.


After fight Gambit and Rogue having their happy dance or even fast marriage.
Rogue has her red dress and Gambit his coatume but white from X-Men 24. Thwy must have their dance.


Rogue was afraid to dance in ep1 with Gambit. Chose wrong dance in ep 5 with Mags. Finally will have a right dance in ep 10.[size=78%].[/size]
