Sending you hugs!! I am so happy!!!

With Tatum announced right before Pedro and RDJ who will be main characters I expect Remy to have a good role.

I didn't watch the vid, just the announcements... They played the music. Ok, I'm hyped.

Showing Remy with the other xmen makes me think they might have a small plot, even a nod, of him coming back to his og timeline. Iicr, Tatum was meant to be with the Fox team since the beginning (you see his name on X2).  So, he'd be back to where he belong.

We're gonna see a team up with him and Cyclops? Tatum specifically asked to recreate the X97 Combo with Wolverine. There is no way there is not a Wolverine, and there are many names and characters that should be there.

Oh you confused me with Andrei. I know, similar names and we're from the same country but he's the talented one LOL
Oh wow. You're right. I honestly just assumed you were both the same poster this entire time. My bad  :-[
If I didn't lurk so much and interacted more, this wouldn't be an issue lol

Just read UXM #12. Like the rest of you, I thought those preview pages were pretty cringe and inconsistent with his established lore.
I was pleasantly surprised that it didn't walk all over his past as badly as I thought it would. Seems like this is the transition between his time with Fagan's Mob and being officially recruited into the guild. Probably a short time after pick pocketing Jean Luc.
It was nice to see how absolutely capable and skilled young Remy was (not that it wasn't already established, I was just worried it would be largely ignored).

That said, I am not a fan of Simone's writing style. At least not on these characters. Too many cliche's and tropes for my liking. And these kids just don't grab my interest at all.
But one of my pet peeves with modern X-Men is when a writer introduces a single use mutant and they depict them with a goofy physical mutation. It comes off kinda corny and even a bit lazy. It's like they don't want to be bothered with informing the reader that the character is a mutant, so they just create some Ninja Turtles looking mutant and call it a day.
Even worse when the physical mutation is something culturally relevant to the character. A mutant from Louisiana that has gator powers? Smh lol

I'm sure someone told me here or somewhere else there CC at some point planned to pair them both as an stable couple, which is weird bc I'm sure Gambit's like four or five years older than Colossus.

Sadly, I think we fans pay more attention to characters ages and continuity than the writers do.

Thank you.
Loved your work in issue #10 BTW. Very clean line work and dynamic action.
Especially loved the page where Nightcrawler teleports in and flips that Sentinel hound thru the air onto the ground. Good action storytelling and cinematic. Must be an incredible feeling to be able to work on our favorite character. Too bad you didn't get to draw Gambit in any action scenes.

Not connected. These are new takes on the characters. They're part of some kind of resistance.

Just browsed through Omega, it looks irredeemably bad. Of course, Rogue is once again reminded of how awesome she is, whereas Gambit is barely there, he gets two lines at most. The other characters don't seem to fare well either, too out of character.

Ultimate, on the other hand, was actually pretty good. Gambit is a badass, he survives. I also had no doubts Gambit and Kitty would be together, since they're paired romantically sometimes in AU for some reason I don't understand.

Uncanny was actually fine. Again, too much Rogue, and too much Gambit talking about Rogue like shoes the only thing on his mind. Way too much of those kids too, although I gotta admit they were less annoying than usual. There was a nice dynamic going on. Kid Gambit was cute and sassy - a bit of a Huckleberry vibe to him. He also kicked those boys' asses. His connection to the house they live now is explained, and it doesn't mess with Gambit's canon. Even the art was better than I expected. Overall, nothing spectacular, definitely not impactful, but surprisingly enjoyable. No damage was done to Gambit's lore as I feared, it actually added to it.

Are these current Ultimate titles connected to the early 2000's line of Ultimate comics? If they are, how did they go about resurrecting Gambit?
And why are Gambit and Kitty in Russia fighting Wolverine?
