What is your favorite Romy moment. There must be plenty of them. Or a seen that really made you become apart of the Romy club.
I'm not sure if I have a moment. Loved the cover to Xmen #24, but hated the art inside the book. I liked the issue leading up to the Antarctica issue, where Gambit isn't wearing a shirt and Rogue is swooning just a little.
Anyway, lets hear it.

Oh there are so many moments! One of my favs is when He forms a shield around him and kisses her while she looks on with surprise. Aww such great Romy moments, even in the original xmen cartoon series. It's kinda odd that the director for the xmen movie loved the cartoon series but didn't include their romance. God Bless, Souba

My favorite ROMY moment has to be in XXM issues 16-19.
There are a lot of them. UXM 350 was it for a long time, but the CC came along with Invasion...

I do like the picnic scene from way back in the early 90's.

When she was blind and they were sitting up on the roof; she told him to leave and he came back a few minutes later, placed a blanket around her shoulders and told her everything would be okay. *sigh* That's when Romy was worth reading to me.

that will forever be annoying to me. sweet sentiments. grammatical errors that irk me to the nth degree. how did that get past editing? i should, however, remember that CC has never written the greatest french and i should learn not to expect it from him. but i still can't deny that whole Invasion-Vargus-Impailment-Going to Heaven only to be brough back by Rogue is one of the best ROMY moments canon has ever seen.

If we are talking about art - then my all time favorite is x-men 45 - this image For me actually the best ROMY moment is their happy end - when they left in extreme 19.

Actually, X-men 45 would have to be the one with my favorite Romy moment of all time, then. I actually liked both the art and the 'pathos', lol. My next favorite moment (because of the hilarity that ensued) would be the time when Gambit and Rogue had a picnic and Remy's partially gloved fingers almost came too close to Rogue's bare skin...

I'd like to append my answer to the recent spread in 204: i.e. one great big flashback of the highlights from the past decade and a half.

giggles at lucia. i think someone's in love.
okay, teasing and joking aside...i think 204 shows an echo.
Remember Vargas...rogue told remy 'our story ain't done.' just found 204 to kind of echo that, though roles reversed when Remy says 'you don't end here.'
which brings me to another point...that Vargas story line dealt with the Diaries, n'est-ce pas? and Remy eluded in XXM when rogue was pulling him back that he's seen his destiny, he knows how it ends...
and now...where do we find ourselves again?
just a thought that may be way out in left field, but it's food for thought, anyways.

I know this is a little off-point, but one of my favorite moments is from X-TAS. It might even have been the first episode. Rogue is driving a red convertible with Gambit riding shotgun. He's putting the moves on her, and she flies out of the car absolutely exasperated with him (as always). He just looks up and yells at her "Don't worry, Rogue. I park de car!" Freakin' hilarious. At times, Remy can be such a smart-ASS!!!
But one of the aspects of ROMY that I have always enjoyed. Remy will not ever stop pursuing Rogue, despite her power, and never allows Rogue to push him away entirely.

Which was fun for the first few years, but now makes him look more like a chump than anything else. A guy simply can't chase a woman for years on end and still get respect. It just doesn't happen. Why not have her chase him for a while?

I have often wondered if that is not the motivation behind some of his recent behavior. Perhaps he's trying to see what she is willing to do to come after him. Crazy?
