He certainly had a field day with XM:TE, talk about hitting the ROMY thing, married with kids, you have to enjoy that if your in that camp.   :)

XM:TE ROMY was good ROMY.  CC kind of evened the whole married with kids thing out with the tragedy of Rogue's death, and the shambles in which the family was left in GeNext.  That whole touch made it less crass, and I think it worked.

How do you know Carey has any plans for this arc or Gambit, is there an interview regarding it?  I'm just asking because the last I remember was that Carey was writing Gambit out of the book.  And I would like to know how long I'm dropping the book and when I can pick it up again.  That sort of thing.  Thanx

I think that is more of the general assumption. I don't think Carey's spefically said he writing Gambit out...

it wasn't a bed. it was a platform thingy... but yes, def yum with the half-naked. however, he wasn't screaming for Rogue to save him. He wanted her as far away as possible. And he's fully capable of saving himself... he's done it multiple times.

Yeah, he was never screaming for Rogue to save him. And he even manged to figure out how to disrupt Khan energy beam thing before Rogue even got there.

His time table seemed to work around the end of last year for those two characters being in the book.  Its here somewhere.  I'm not going to look for it because its old.  But because I haven't seen anything new in his plans its all we've got. 

If there is something new, a new pov from Carey on the book then I would like to see what he plans on doing with the book.

ah, ok. but ya know... I wouldn't want Gambit on Rogue's team anyway... that gives writers an excuse to have him follow her like a puppy dog with good reason. nooo thanks. rather have him cameo than that.

Mike's a pretty accessible guy, if you really want to know if Gambit's going to be in Legacy anytime soon you could just ask him through Facebook- he replies to most stuff.

Sure. He replied with a definite YES a couple years ago when we ROMY supporters asked to see more ROMY!   I wonder what will happen in the next arc with Rogue getting all of these other suitors. Gambit is going to really have to push to get his girl this time! We should send Carey candy so that he keeps writing ROMY as often as he's doing.

I think the most likely scenario with 234 is that the suitors fighting over Rogue are not the most obvious candidates.  It would be a little odd for Gambit to go from being horrified at Deathbit returning to trying to get Rogue out on a date.  Carey is mostly consistent with his characters.

But then again I could be completely wrong and this could turn out to be about making Rogue look smart by Gambit/Magneto looking dumb.

I really need to stop reading this thread. I don't know if you *trying* to make us (okay, maybe it's only me doing it) shake our heads and say, "huh?" or if you honestly believe what you type. Do you even read your own posts? Are you maybe Mike Carey in disguise? As in, let's let people speak for themselves instead of trying to instigate divisions between people who prefer Rogue to Gambit or Gambit to Rogue or can't see them as anything other than a unit (or not). Everyone's allowed their own opinion, so long as it is their own and they're not trying to proselytize one way or another. Don't do that. There's nothing in the TOS that says you can't; I'm just saying that its considerably more polite to speak for yourself rather than a whole group of people who may or may not share in your opinion.

I'm not really a mod but sometimes I have to take things into my own hands   .  Anyway the next x-men comic is coming out soon please tell me what happens between Rogue and Gambit when it comes out.

All fans are welcome to any part of this site that they wish to participate in.  No one should be telling them don't come here because I don't follow a fandom.  This site does the impossible, the two factions who do not in general get along due to the idea of ROMY, peacefully get along pretty well here.  And that is because as long as the topics are discussed respectfully and that there is no personal attacks or character bashing, the two groups can voice their opinion and be heard and not feel unwelcome because of their likes or dislikes.  Again the point is ... everyone is welcome to this board and any other board they wish to participate in - no matter their preference in character make up or relationship.  And I'm not just a mod, but the administrator of this site, and I would like everyone to feel comfortable with any area of the forum they wish interact in.  I hope we can move on now.  




As to upcoming issue, I doubt there will be any Gambit and Rogue at all.  It will be just Rogue and her team.  Gambit has been written out.  Now, I could be entirely wrong and would be pleasantly surprised if Gambit was in the upcoming issue.  Anyone seen any preview art yet?

Bigbarda - if you've got some rapport with Carey please feel free to ask on our behalf if there is any upcoming ROMY stuff or if Gambit will be in the book at all.  That would rock!
