Marvel Heroes is defunct now, as far as I know. When it was up, Gambit was one of the middle cost champions and could be obtained pretty quickly by farming Infinity Shards

They recently introduced a thing where you can mark certain characters as a favorite and so I immediately marked the 3* Gambit as a fav. Then, I played a VS match and won a special recruit token when the match expired and that unlocked him for me. I've done that a few times and unlocked different powers for him that way. Idk if anyone else has gotten that to work

Where I can mark a character? I can`t see such option :(

In Puzzlequest? You just go to the "Roster" and then it brings up all of your characters as well as a list of the characters you can unlock. Each character has a little star next to it you can tap and it becomes gold

Yeah, if you like the Bejewled/Candy Crush type games then you'll enjoy it. It's kind of fun unlocking different character and abilities but it's nothing ground-breaking and it took me forever to unlock Gambit. But, I did just unlock a new power for him over the weekend because I starred him so there are ways to get him

Nice! I was planning on picking this up since Slott is gone, so this is a nice little bonus

And Gambit's back to his old costume again. Zero effort on continuity.

Judging by the number of characters in that preview I doubt Gambit will have any lines or even more panel time unfortunately. We'll see.
