Didn't Tatum also say he didn't want Gambit's debut to be in a team movie? That's another reason they're doing a solo.

weird..to me it would have been an obvious and good way to see if there was audience for gambit. I think they should have already done it by now. But..we are where we are. 5 yrs and 3 directors later.

I have heard of him,,,hes directed some  well received small independent films and Capaldi's debit of doctor who

I don`t know who Ben Wheatley guy is. At this point I will be happy with anyone. Just give me a good Gambit movie.

Is there a particular reason why everyone seems to think Wheatley is involved with the Gambit movie? I thought he was just in talks with Marvel, not Fox. If that's the case, wouldn't it be more likely he's working on an MCU movie?

Also, it seems like they're acknowledging the fact that a lot of people don't think that this movie is happening.

oh yeah..sadly its a running joke now on social media. Any tidbit of life in the movie. Its the usual "yeah right" . or "gambits dead. Pull the plug already". "No one wants this' ..The film has had so many problems. ..people don't believe it will be made or even succeed.                                Was rewatching the 2015 San Diego comic con.where Tatum showed up with gambit tee on panel with all the other marvel actors. Good times.

ditto..in fact I'd scrap Tatum as Gambit. Recast and maybe have gambit do a cameo in x force....see what kind of reception he gets.

I don't expect it to be made until the actors are actually on set. Plus I'd be pretty pissed if Tatum is blocking the possibility of Gambit cameoing in the other films. (Still holding out hope he's the surprise character in DP2.)
