Solo was OK movie. Actor tried his best to play Solo but he wasn`t good enough. Won`t like him as Gambit.

He was actually really funny in Hail, Caesar!, but nobody's going to look good as a stand-in for a young Harrison Ford apart from IRL young Harrison Ford or River Phoenix.

This. Kid had to know that was a lose/lose situation.

I liked solo, thought it was a fun movie. That guy could probably do a decent job, but I won’t push for him or anything.

And since I haven’t randomly checked on the video in a while, 1.5 million views and most of the comments seem positive, which is amazing for YouTube.  ;D

Interesting article about another actor who is a Gambit fan.

*Don't know why the link is so small.
Interesting. But I'm glad he didn't get the role. Just like Channing Tatum, he is physically wrong for the part.

I'm glad about Ehrenreich but I disagree with Tatum. I felt he was damn near perfection physically for the role. But that's neither hear nor there at this point since that ain't happening now.

It's cbr... what do you except? They get the most woke PC snowflake losers they can find for this crap, the only research they do is reading a wiki page or not even that. Everybody hates them, even other sites like bleedingcool, which is just as bad, has made fun of them.

The writer really needs to look up the definition of ‘useless’, it doesn’t mean something you don’t like.

I can understand why the writer used the word 'useless' in regards to his relationship with Rogue. It was the same old stuff for far too long and now that its progressed its not relatable for some and the progression was more one sided than needed. IMO.

A romance novelist should have been consulted to handled the couples complexities. IMO

Good post purplevit. Shows you how much Gambit had to deal with writers who weren't fans of him. Imagine where his character would be if he had the benefit of writers who enjoyed him as a character.

By the way, the fan made Gambit youtube video has reached 2 million views.

I would  say editors and Marvel chiefs even more then bad writers.

Cullen Bunn pitched Gambit solo and Asmus later again. Marvel just don't want it.
Nicieza's solo were cancelled because Quasada thought that there were too many X books. Back then Gambit outsold Hulk, Black Widow and Deadpool.

Even when they give him a solo book. They just don't care and let it fight for survival. Gambit solo always are left without promotions, crossovers or tie ins. All other solo books for characters have stuff planned to rise sales and support book.

They don't even give the dude alternative covers.
Rogue being flung vagina-first at the first male that pops up on her radar isn't how I'd define "romance," but Marvel must be using a different dictionary than me.- NicoPony

Definitely! Variants are the easiest way to raise sales.
