I found this picture and I remembered that the third person on the right was rumored to have been Gambit. I remember thinking that I wish that had been true, but now looking back at how they treated him later on, what difference would it have made if that really had been him???

Absolutely. Or "fans have been asking for a Kitty Pryde movie". Huh? :idiot2:

But the "nobody is asking for this" argument that you constantly hear from comment sections drives me nuts.
What's creepy is how they all secretly agree t a collective narrative they all radically push. A week ago, there were a dozen articles about the Snyder cut, and anytime Green Lantern was mentioned there was a mandatory 3-4 paragraphs and links to other articles advocating for using Jon Stewart in favor of Hal Jordan. A collective, blatant effort to push a character (for sake of diversity) rather than for the narrative purpose (Jodan comes canonically before Stewart).

As much as I wanted Gambit in an X-Men movie, a fourth rate cameo would have sucked. Look how "Psylocke" was reared in that movie. I'm sure Gambit would have been the same...throw a card in the final battle before being shot by a guard.

Yeah I think we're all better off that Gambit was left out here. They just couldn't pull the trigger on Gambit. They kept wanting to put him in then they kept shrinking his role until it was a small cameo and then deciding to cut it when they realized it was pointless to put him in. They just didn't want to rock the Wolverine boat. But it doesn't matter anyway because then they shoehorned him in Origins and it was poorly done. That killed all the momentum Gambit had for fans that wanted to see him in a movie.

That escape in X-Men 104 and Gambit taking a lead was awesome. Storm was always supportive and trustful to all his ideas.

What the #&#& is wrong with all of you! You can't unearth panels with Gambit being competent! Get the #&#$ outta here with all that heroism and skill.
Rogue being flung vagina-first at the first male that pops up on her radar isn't how I'd define "romance," but Marvel must be using a different dictionary than me.- NicoPony

Well, in that case, apologies in advance for reminding people of when Gambit bested the Avengers.
