This is not the must be redeemed as she’s an LGBQT woman and post Foxmovies girl boss, in the cartoon, she’s a grooming, evil, manipulative witch! She was assuming Gambit’s face to assassinate and we’re supposed to pretend he forgot about it?!? Yes, let me seek out a psycho to ask her permission for marriage.
I forgot about this! Yes, she did that. And yes, I can forget about this BECAUSE I AM NOT THE WRITER FOR THE SHOW. The writer is meant to remind us this.

I guess we're going for the same comic route of her being an absolute p.o.s. towards Gambit and he just has to take it and suck it for the sake of her relationship with Rogue. Makes sense Kurt will forgive her because it's Kurt, that's what he does, but Gambit has no link towards her besides Rogue who's not actually her real daughter. What's next? Ask Magneto to be his Best Man for their wedding?

D&W is out on stream already and aside from having our boy in HD, reaction channels are already on it or will be soon. I already watched one and it was "OMG THAT IS GAMBIT!!!!" A lot of reaction channels are very normie people, so the reactions are a good indicative of how people will actually react to movie Gambit.

Rogue being flung vagina-first at the first male that pops up on her radar isn't how I'd define "romance," but Marvel must be using a different dictionary than me.- NicoPony

Cool! Thanks for time marks.

I am sure that Marvel wasn`t expecting that Gambit would become so mainstream and popular after X97 and D&W.
I still think they don`t know what to do now and how use his raise in popularity because they didn`t plan it.

They didn't plan for it in the early 90's either. This is twice now he has blown up in popularity unexpectedly. They did well with it in the 90's for a while. Can they do well with it now? That's the big question and we nervously wait and hope they can get it right. There is luckily Gambit fans around now in the industry. Hopefully some of them can wind up getting involved. It's one of the reasons people have rooted for Channing Tatum. And even though Beau Demayo is what he is, he does genuinely seem to be a fan of Gambit which is why Gambit came out of that series so well.

All three X97 directors like Gambit too.
I hope new X97 writer also likes him.

Well, he is on flagship X-Men book again. I don't remeber even when it was last time.

I hope he can get solo ongoing with A list creatove team soon.

Rumors that he will be in MCU X-Men so it will help for sure if true.

No problem.
I'll see if I can post more this weekend. For what I've watched so far (yes, I watched more), the reaction has been overwhelmingly positive. Even few people who started as "I don't like Channing as Gambit" ended up saying he did a good job and changed their mind. And those who didn't know who Gambit even was, liked his fight scene and thought he was badass and cool. There is a lot of potential to do with the character, even if it's Tatum playing him. He only needs adjustments to the costume, hair, and he could be well.

Gambit's so charismatic that his charisma can't be contained on media, that's the only explanation. He was created to be like this, it's a meta power.

The way he hugs the director is so cute.
"It's a dream come true", and he's like"OH IT DEFINITELY f***ING IS MAN!!! AND I AM TAKING THE COSTUME HOME"

Here's Blade's, for the curious.

Positive feedback was noticed even after first screenings.
I would say it was mostly : "Tatum's Gambit appeared only for 15 minutes but left huge impression".
