THE UNCANNY X-MEN'' will find  Rogue, Gambit, and their new mutants become “Outlaw Heroes” in New Orleans in this arc. Tom Brevoort promises this era of X-Men puts characters back in the real world with non-mutants. Written by Gail Simone and inked by David Marquez.

The bigger deal is that we finally hear his new voice. It sounds ok in that tiny little bit we got there.

Here's a new clip of action from the show.

I'm really liking it. The original X-Men show couldn't do much with it's action pieces because of the limitation of the animation. Here it all looks good and we might finally get to see some good displays of agility from Gambi

And in other news: Xmen 97 has ten episodes and will be streaming soon on Disney+, I think Hulu too. I only saw one ad for the animated show. March 20th 2024.

I watched the show. I really liked it. The animation for the action scenes is great. They can do so much more and it's awesome. Characters are all on point and the stakes are high. Pretty good stuff all around.

But......

I was correct and they are doing the whole Rogueneto angle. And I hate it. I mean, the original show never really got super deep into Gambit and Rogue's relationship, so to skip over that and go straight into the Magneto thing sucks. Unless they are going to write it well and it will be something that makes Gambit and Rogue have a deeper relationship. I can only hope. Just don't make Gambit a chump. I like that they had Gambit picking up that crap right away. At least. I don't want to hate Rogue. The love triangle thing always makes the person in the middle unlikable. I also don't want Gambit's story and arcs  to only be attached to Rogue.

But anyway, like I said, stakes and drama are high. It feels right in place with the original show but with some enhancements. Looking forward to the rest of the season.

I liked first 2 episodes of X-Men 97 too. The hype online for it is real!

I didn`t like what Wantutosigh mentined ofcourse. But Gambit amd his action was cool.

I hope he will shine more in the next episodes.

The show is dope. Gambit's new voice actor is great. I kinda wish they recasted Rogue? I know it's iconic, but I can hear the age in her voice. It's weird. But I'm not on board with the Rogue/Magneto thing. AoA only works because the world was #&$$ up and burning.

Otherwise the show was great. I look forward to how it'll develop.
Rogue being flung vagina-first at the first male that pops up on her radar isn't how I'd define "romance," but Marvel must be using a different dictionary than me.- NicoPony
