Wow .... there is so much wrong with this ... it's disturbing. I can not watch so many crotch shots in 30 seconds and it opens with it. What has been seen can not be unseen.
I gave up.
smh.

Same, but if I find out anything, I'll post the SFW version.

The year of Gambit continues (I still think Gail's gonna ruin it, but who knows). Source.

Yay, X-Factor. So far, it's the one I'm enjoying because the other three (XM, UXM, and EXM) are so gloomy.

No worries. I don't ban, I'm a mellow mod. LOL
re: Cyclops, when is comics going to get rid the panties on the outside? It's horrible, I never want to see that. Underwear on the outside is just terrible, looks bad on Superman, Magneto and Cyke. I'll throw up later. LOL.

Be thankful Cyclops was wearing something UNDER the underpants... by the state of this show, another bullet we dodged.

Speaking of nudity...

Mayonnaise's full statements (without any nudity involved), if you're curious.

Like I said, I give people the benefit of the doubt until I see an actual sentence of a crime committed, but for what he alleges, and I mean only the subject of how the show was directed, it could have ended up much, much worse. Show only tidbits (anything about his own persona you can read in source):
  • DeMayo alleges that he fought Marvel executives over his desire to adapt storylines from previously published X-Men comic book runs rather than create brand new stories for the show, as they desired, and he was called “uncollaborative, too difficult and too much of a fanboy.” “They openly resented me fighting for the fans,” he says.
Ok, this I do believe, because I've seen it before in other franchises (Cavill's case come to mind. And GRRM has recently ranted about it).
  • DeMayo alleges that executives “painted” him as “abusive” when he declined to have the character of Jubilee “make gang signs or paint the sky with plasmoids in the shape of middle fingers.”
  • DeMayo alleges that an artist on “X-Men ’97” “repeatedly denounce[d] all men as jerks,” and accused DeMayo of “failing the cause” because he kept a male character, Cyclops, as leader of the X-Men.
  • DeMayo alleges that Marvel’s PR department listed “homosexuality as a hot button issue to avoid alongside school shootings, the Gaza conflict and abortion.”
Last one is funny because, why would this be a thing in first place in an X-Men show?? Homosexuality and shootings, I get that could be topics alluded in the story, but the other two? What would this be even suggested that they need to firmly respond they couldn't do it? hahahaha. It's like that "burgers" comic "what does this have to do with the x-men?" "x-men?"

Like I said, again, we truly avoided more bullets than Neo here.

Stunt coordinator talks about the cameos. Gambit bit:

Gambit has never been seen in a live-action adaptation. How did you incorporate his fighting style with the playing cards and how he manipulates kinetic energy?

Channing had a really good understanding of the character and helped bring him to life. We knew he wanted to use the cards and the bo-staff—in the comic book, he can split the staff. Gambit is incredibly acrobatic and Channing is one of the most talented physical performers for an actor that I’ve ever worked with. What he brought to the table was incredible.

__

So, whenever we were doing stunt rehearsals, we had to be so careful. Blade is iconic and Gambit is so distinctive with his deck of cards. When a couple of the stunt guys heard we were designing a scene with throwing cards, they immediately knew it was Gambit!

Not entirely related but...

Tobey Maguire’s Peter Parker with Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine is probably going to be every Marvel fan’s fantasy going into Secret Wars and I know that they’re doing everything in their power to make this interaction and more legacy character interactions a reality, but it has to be something meaningful like it was when we saw the Resistance in Deadpool and Wolverine, not just some throwaway sequence that’s meant to be a one and done. (source)

After the good reception of the resistance scene, they (allegedly) want the upcoming "new" participations to be more than just cameos and that's very fine by me. If there is any chance of seeing Tatum again, it might be something meaningful that fits the plot.

Re: Gambit's parentage.
I'm not sure of the writer at the moment. The 'womb' thing and Sinister. Crazy stuff. I never liked that idea and Claremont with his "The End" book making Gambit a clone of Cyke. So done with that ideology. Killing Rogue was odd but I was okay with it. Saving his kids was good though.

Gambit should be his own person imv.  If I remember correctly, his parents were suppose to be non-mutants and he was given up due his eye color and the Antiquary guy adopted him and Jean-Luc stole him because the that guy was not a good guy.

Gambit has some major league history, shame not explored.

My headcanon will always be that his parents aren't mutants, but some fancy people. Reason why JL feels a bit guilty for raising Remy in the life he did and why he pushed him to become King of Thieves, because he feels that's the life he should be having.

I am not trusting the exploration Simone is planning for him... if any.
