Gambit is on the leaked list for additions to the Marvel Rivals Game:
Rogue is on the list as well.

Not sure who would be included, and I don't play this game but it does look fun, I watched someone else play via discord.

UXM11, i already miss Andrei's art. Not liking Gambit's hair much.

I dont like either he has zero voice in training those kids. "He does it for me". Argh. I get that the kids need to be trained and that Remy himself was trained hard since he was a kid so he understands tough love, but the scene feels so out of character for him.

Ugh. He doesn't sound like Gambit, or act like Gambit, but, it's okay cuz he doesn't look like Gambit, either.

Rogue either, for that matter.

"One soft, one deep." Barf. The recurring attempts at sexy dialogue read like something from a bad romance novel being read aloud in a Saturday Night Live skit. And I say that as someone who likes erotica. I really liked Gail's writing at DC many years ago, and wanted her to get a crack at the X-Men, but this stuff is awful. Especially anything with Rogue, Gambit or Wolverine.

They don't really act or talk like a married couple which is funny because Gail Simone is married and should know better. Maybe this is how she thinks life with G as husband would be? Women really think life with Gambit is constant sex and romantic dinners all day long and he lives to continuously pleasing them. All he wants is to watch the Twilight Zone.

But what seriously irritates me is his indifference towards the kids.

It's like a movie with bad special effects or a Nick Cage performance, first you make it better by cutting some stuff out.

You stop the dialogue with 'two'. You add a box.

The first kiss is tender... soft... gentle... to try to sooth her pain away.
The second is deeper... with passion and desire offered as both distraction and invitation...

They should stop doing that in front of people, tbh. I'm glad they can touch each other, but it's getting tiresome.

"Just bc you can do something" etc. Once in a while is cute, but they just keep talking about their sex life all the time we see them on page. Imagine a couple you know speaking of their sex life as if it's not something every other couple does every time you see them. For all the complains about sexualisation and all that jazz, they just can't stop sexualising Gambit.

It's so overdone it's gross. And it is way over the top and as you say done constantly in front of other people. They come off like really needy exhibitionists.

Read X-hibitionists - Monthly from Marvel.

(I know, I know, don't give them ideas.)

I agree with the many previous posts. Uncanny is such a bore. It takes me a couple of weeks to work up the motivation to read it. Gambit is just there, no agency. He does everything Rogue tells him to without questioning. Real Gambit would never just stand there and not call her out on her bs. That's worse than being wallpaper. And they're a married couple, yet they're written like horny teenagers 24/7, as if that's all there is to them.

Next issue is supposed to be Gambit's. Yeah, right. Bet all the other characters (including those annoying kids) will take up a huge chunk of the story. The writer said #12 is "mostly Gambit". I know what that means. And even in a few pages, damage can be done. That's what I fear the most.

UXM felt promising, but I think it's really not going anywhere at this point. It had potential for Rogue team to rediscover their life outside Krakoa, but it's just not that.

It feels like editorial and certain writers are still mad that Krakoa didn't work, while also trying to "return to basics" without knowing what that is. And their reader target are mad that it's not Krakoa, so they are not reading. I am not hating it, but Adjectiveless has more direction and better treatment of the characters so far. It's not just Gambit not doing anything or acting OOC. They all are.

I'm not much worried of the things Gambit is gonna (or not gonna) do, but rather what kind of retcons he's gonna suffer.
