One of my favorite lines in The Avengers film:

Security Guard: Are you an alien?
Bruce Banner: What?
Security Guard: From outer space, an alien.
Bruce Banner: No.
Security Guard: Well then son, you've got a condition.

Back to the Future
"Oh my god, they found me, I don't know how but they found me. Run for it, Marty!"

This is too funny for me because - a long time ago when I started to play WoW, I named my toon MartyMcFly - my hubby was constantly telling me to run for it Marty when we encountered a large mob.  LOL.  I got tired of the Back To The Future jokes and paid to change the toons name.  But it was amusing for a little while.

The Adventures of Mark Twain (1985)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kAS1-lCF3yM

“The man with an idea is a fool, until the idea succeeds.”

“Boys! Tom, Huck and Becky Thatcher”
“How does he know are names?”

“These must be those classics everyone talks about.”
“What are classics?”
“Something everyone wants to have read but nobody wants to read.”

“We’re gonna crash!”
“Like hell we are!”
”Frog overboard!”
“Hang on Homer!”
“Hard on the Starboard! Spin her! Spin her! Spin her!”
“We’re heading for the rocks!”
“No, not that way!”
“Turn Becky!”
“Starboard! The other way! The other way!”
“What? Oh no!”
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tnAVCwW9neY

“We had you all tide up.”
“That? Oh, no, no, that was just a little Writer's Block, that's all.”

“Supposing we do die? Is there truly a heaven or a hell?”
“Huh? I don't know about that. I don't wish to express an opinion. You see, I have friends in both places.”

“We missed it”
“Lets catch it!”
“Aye-aye!”

“Don’t be afraid! Providence protects children, and idiots. I know it's true. I've tested it.”

“We’re gaining on her!”

“Tom! Sound out!”
”Now stand by Huck!”
“Marrrrkkkk Twaaaiiin!”
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=slwGelHvg-o

“Hang on!”
“Ok!”
“Yahoooo!”

“Everyone is a moon, and has a dark side, which he never shows to anybody, if he can help it.”

“Let me see, there are a number of things I want to say to you before I go. [Clears throat]
Always obey your parents.”
[Dark side]... “when they are present.”
“Be respectful of your superiors.”
[Dark side]... “if you have any.”
“Rise early, for it is the early bird that catches the worm.”
[Dark side] “I once knew a man who tried it. Got up at sunrise. Horse bit him.”

“It's time.”
[Dark side] “I'm still considering whether to go. I haven't seen an atom of truth that there is a future life.”
“Yet I am strongly inclined to expect one. Anyway, don't be such a sissy in the face of a real adventure.”

“The human race, in all its poverty, has only one truly effective weapon: laughter. Against the assault of laughter - ha-ha-ha-ha! - Nothing can stand.”

“Well this was one adventure Mr. Twain wouldn’t get around to writing. So I figure to get it all down before I forgot a single thing.”

Clash of the Titans (1981)

"He will become abhorrent to human sight, he will be shunned and forced to live as an outcast in the swamps and marshes, he will be transformed into a mortal mockery, a shameful mark of his vile cruelty. This is my finally judgment."
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZqGlvplMW3o

"Too heavy for the dead branch aye"
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rzKhqt5IRnM

"The River Styx, the River of Death... has strange powers."
"So I've heard."
"Time to see if the legend is true."
"Here, you'll need this. For Charon, the Ferryman."

Those just reminds how awful the remake was.  There were things I liked better in the remake but there was other stuff, that I thought ... this just plain stinks.  Cinematography definitely better, monsters and actions sequences too but Perseus was so unlikeable, it was like he was a purposeful jerk and I couldn't stand him.

As campy-ish as the 1981 movie was I think I liked that better.  LOL

I didn’t care for anything in the remake like the action scene with Medusa. It tries to be suspenseful and fails, his men try to act tough and badass but are really just idiots. The Matrix slow motion scenes, the skinhead Perseus that you couldn't care about and lets not forget the terrible CGI effects.

The 1981 film didn’t have to rely on action sequences, Medusa was actually scary and that fight scene (if you want to call it that) was more believable, it was suspenseful and was more about timing, when to strike than running around the whole place where someone shouts “Where are you”… yeah, that’s smart. The remake Medusa was based off a beautiful Russian model even though Medusa is supposed to be ugly… it looked like a cut scene from a video game.

The 1981 film my not be a masterpiece on all levels, but it's a fun movie and far more enjoyable to watch.

I agree completely.  I hadn't thought about the Medusa scenes but you are right, 1981 version was better because it was cat/mouse type thing and waiting for the right moment while Medusa hunted and did her thing.

Perseus was on such a pedestal - it wasn't even believable where his goals were, heck I couldn't even tell you his point for fighting what so ever in the remake.  It was too much man vs gods, instead of man vs evil.  That is probably the big difference between the two films.

Whereas in 1981 version, he had a goal, he wanted to know who he was and he knew what he wanted.  And he just went out and did it.  I agree with your assessment of the 1981 film, it was fun and enjoyable.

Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid
“Whatever they're selling, I don't want it.”

“How many are following us?”
“All of 'em.”
“All of 'em? What's the matter with those guys?”

“You remember the time you and me and Etta went to Denver one summer for a vacation?”
“I'm glad you brought that up, Kid. That's an important topic, considering our situation.”
“The night we went gambling, you remember?”
“We had dinner at the hotel. Etta had roast beef and I had chicken, and if I can remember what you had, I'll die a happy man.”

“Look out there!”
“What?”
“Remember a few years ago when we were at a saloon in Denver? We got to talking to some gambler that night, and he told us about an Indian. A full-blooded Indian, except he called himself by an English name. Sir... somebody.”
“Lord Baltimore?”
“Lord Baltimore, that's right, and he could track anybody, over anything, day or night.”
“So?”
“The guy on the ground. I think it's him.”
“No, Baltimore works out of Oklahoma. He's strictly an Oklahoma man. I don't know where we are, but it sure as Hell isn't Oklahoma. No, it couldn't be him. Couldn't be him.”
“I guess.”

“Don't they get tired? Don't they get hungry?”
“They gotta be.”
“Why don't they slow up? Hell, they could even go faster, at least that'd be a change. They don't even break formation. Do something.”

“Well, the way I figure it, we can either fight or give. If we give, we go to jail.”
“I've been there already.”
“ We could fight - they'll stay right where they are and starve us out. Or go for position, shoot us. Might even get a rock slide started, get us that way. What else can they do?”
“They could surrender to us, but I wouldn't count on that.”

“I'll jump first.”
“Nope.”
“Then you jump first.”
“No, I said!”
“What's the matter with you?!”
“I can't swim!”
“Hahahahaha! Why, you crazy — the fall'll probably kill ya!”
“Ohhhhhhhhhh shhhhiiiiitttttt!”
