Oddities - Aging in Comics
« on: August 04, 2019, 06:19:49 PM »
Yes, we talked about how the Xmen don't age and we've speculated on how old they should be. But the Marvel time moves incredibly slow unless you are an animal.

Mind you the animals aren't significant as far anything more than nuance for a character.

I find it funny, that Gambit doesn't age, yet his kittens became cats. (I know Don, but, its not the cats, the idea of aging.) I find it funny, that somethings age in comic books but other things do not.

Another example is romy. It feels old but the in comic book time line, its shorter, we're not looking at anything longer than maybe a year or two of issues. If not less.

Weird, right? LOL

To me the weirdest is knowing that I’m now older than the characters I fell in love with when I was five.  I’d say Gambit and Rogue’s relationship goes back three maybe four years, tops.

Yeah, your timeline probably is more correct than mine. Since they never really reference time, the only indicator is something so small as a pet. :)
